Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!
My name is Sarah DeWitt and I am principal at The International School at Mary Mae Jones Elementary. I have had the opportunity to be part of the Bentonville community for over four decades. It has been amazing to see our area thrive and grow into the destination town it is today.
I’ve been in education for 26 years in Bentonville Schools. My Bachelor of Science in History was completed at the University of Arkansas, my Masters in Arts and Teaching is also from the University of Arkansas. I will finish my Educational Specialist degree this fall and have been accepted into a doctoral program in the spring.
My husband and I have raised four sons, all of whom graduated from BWHS. Two are currently in college, while the other two are pursuing their careers locally. As a family, we love traveling to new cities, exploring their history and scenery, and discovering unique places along the way. We also enjoy trying new and delicious foods, and some of our favorite moments are spent talking and connecting around the dinner table.
